My word mosaic

 
For my word mosaic i choose a shape of a tear, as you can see. I wrote about Ellie's dad. I put in the words " Father  Jew Dead Distant Pain Sleep" I chose father because he was Ellie's dad, I chose Jew because he was Jewish, I put in dead because he died in the book, I chose Distant because at the begging of the book he was said to be distant, i put pain because of the pain he put Ellie through, and, finally, i put sleep because when they stopped running he told Ellie that he just wanted to sleep.

A genocide in my 'murica?

Personally I do feel that a genocide could happen here in the U.S because of the racial tension that has and will be here for a long long time. It only makes since that people forced to be near people they can't stand start to hate each other. I'm not saying that it is okay to discriminate against a certain kind of people for almost no real reason, but it shouldn't be a crime to be weary of the people that we live with; being paranoid  doesn't help just accept the people you have to live with and that will be that.

To Tyler Kirslis "World war z is a zombie book right? I have been meaning to read it. Is it any good?"

To Kaitlyn Stearns " The only genocide (in my opinion) that was worse then the Jewish Holocaust was the Roman Empire killing off Christians"

To Tyler Kirslis " I don't think the military could stop a genocide so easily. People who are in the U.S's military now could divide and be on the genocidal side.

First of all, I have to say, 45 million people? In four years? That is how many Zedong (or Tse-tung) killed. He was a swimmer that rose to power and adopted policies of, Shang Yang who had harsh criminal policies. Zedong had children bounded and thrown into lakes and rivers for stealing if that didn't happen their parents had to bury them... alive.  That... that is just terrible. It is sad even. I don't really delve deep into China's affairs or leadership but I hope this is over, (form of leadership) because i know before he died he trained another to act like he did. Honestly this is terrible, and it makes me feel terrible that this happened.

My reflection on What we have learned Wednesday and Thursday

I did not really learn much, about the Holocaust, when we took the Pretest, I have learned of it before in grade school; I found the interview moving and interesting. First of all, I didn't know that Ziklon B was insect poison ,it seems that they were not given a poison just for man, seems to me like they were adding insult to injury death.Another thing that struck me was that they were using hair, from humans, to make rugs, But the most powerful was the stack of suitcases piled and thrown behind museum glass. I have always found learning about WWII and the Holocaust interesting and I would like to learn more about them throughout this book. I hope that this book is great and teaches me more about the life in a concentration camp.

A little about me as a reader- inter Chris

A little about me (Chris "that awesome guy" Wise) as a reader. I like to read but I don't love it, I mean i like having the ability to read It is good that i can read but i don't just like throw myself into a book.

        I rather enjoy reading fiction (not just Sci-Fi but all kinds of fiction) but my favorite type of fiction is medieval or violent; I'm not just reading books about elves or fairies that is just not my thing. Definitely violent books. My least favorite books or religious books to long, to boring and I think they do not add up. I am not bashing on people you are religious or anything.
        Ironicly I am reading a book called The Left Hand of God, by Paul Hoffman it is set to the medieval times in some world. I have read it before and i Have the sequel to it, but the book is really good. Our protagonist is a young man named Thomas Cale who lives at a sanctum all his life until 15 or so (they were bought as young children to live at the church/sanctum) and his friends find a door that is hidden away and locked, so they get a key and escape. That is all I am going to say about the book along with that it is a great read.
